Breastfeeding offers many health benefits for both babies and mothers, but it doesn’t always come easily. Access to professional lactation support can reduce stress, prevent common issues, and increase breastfeeding success rates. By working with a Certified Lactation Counselor, you’re not only giving your baby the best start possible, you’re also investing in your own well-being as a new parent.

What is a Lactation Counselor?

Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs) are trained professionals who specialize in breastfeeding and lactation support. They work closely with new and experienced mothers to solve feeding challenges, answer questions, and offer reassurance throughout the breastfeeding journey.

Our Certified Lactation Counselors can help you:

  • Build or maintain your milk supply
  • Identify baby hunger cues and establish feeding patterns
  • Achieve and maintain a proper latch
  • Find comfortable and effective breastfeeding positions
  • Manage sore or cracked nipples and breast engorgement
  • Learn how to use and clean breast pumps
  • Navigate feeding with multiples or premature infants
  • Counsel on weaning
