Medical & Surgical Inpatient Care (Med/Surg)

At Northern Montana Health Care, our Med/Surg Department is where compassionate care meets comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages. Located on the 5th floor of Northern Montana Hospital, our inpatient unit serves individuals across the Hi-Line who need hospital-based care, whether for recovery from surgery, illness, or observation.

Personalized Inpatient Care

Our Med/Surg unit cares for a wide variety of conditions, including post-operative recovery, acute medical needs, chronic illness management, and pediatric care. Whether you’re recovering from a procedure or helping a loved one through a health challenge, you can expect high-quality, personalized care every step of the way.

Your Care Team May Include:

• Registered Nurses (RNs) – Easily identified by their bright red name badge tags, RNs coordinate and deliver care, administer medications, monitor your condition, and act as advocates for your needs.
• Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) & Nursing Techs – These team members assist with personal care, comfort, and mobility while helping to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Our nurses and support staff work side by side with your provider to create a coordinated care plan tailored to your condition, recovery goals, and comfort needs.
