At Northern Montana Health Care, our Surgical Services team is proud to offer expert surgical care with a personal touch. Located on the 2nd floor of Northern Montana Hospital, our department provides both inpatient and outpatient procedures in fully equipped, state-of-the-art surgical suites.

We bring together highly trained surgeons, certified registered nurse anesthetists, experienced surgical nurses, and a team of allied health professionals - all committed to delivering exceptional care and supporting you through every step of your surgical journey.

We perform a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including:

General Surgery – Colonoscopies, gallbladder surgery, appendectomies, hernia repairs, biopsies, and more
Gynecological Surgery – Hysterectomies, cesarean deliveries, endometrial ablation, and urodynamics
Orthopedic Surgery – Joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, fracture management, sports injuries, and ligament reconstruction
Podiatric Surgery – Bunion removal, hammertoe correction, metatarsal surgery, and toenail procedures
Ophthalmology – Cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, and other eye-related surgical care

Our surgical program features the latest innovations, including ROSA® robotic-assisted total knee replacements, smart implant technology with Persona IQ® (PIQ), and minimally invasive procedures using the Intuitive da Vinci® robotic surgical system.

Our team follows the highest standards in infection prevention, and year after year, we maintain surgical site infection rates well below national benchmarks.

On the day of your procedure, please check in at the Admitting Desk on the 2nd floor near the Emergency Room Entrance. A nurse will escort you to a private area where you’ll meet with your surgical team before your procedure.
