Ken Lindsey, MD

Emergency Medicine

Ken Lindsey, MD, MBA, joined Northern Montana Hospital in December 2024. Dr. Lindsey has 26 years of experience in emergency medicine and physician leadership. He is well-versed in many health care settings, having worked in both rural primary care and rural emergency departments. After the pandemic, he and his wife decided to return to Montana where he was born, in order to get back to his roots and continue to practice rural emergency medicine.

Dr. Lindsey graduated from Oregon State University with his bachelor’s degree in biology and received his MD from Oregon Health & Sciences University. He also holds his master’s in business administration in Health Care Administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado – Denver. He has a special interest in global health and the wellbeing of individuals. Because of this, he is very intentional to prioritize the patient and communicates in a way that patients and families can best understand their care.

Dr. Lindsey also fulfills the role of a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, caring for the needs of the private and commercial pilots. Dr. Lindsey is a pilot himself, as a multiengine instrument-rated private pilot. Outside of work, Dr. Lindsey takes to the sky to travel the West, visit family and friends, and explore the outdoors with his wife and daughters. You may catch him gardening, flying his plane, hiking, mountain biking, snow skiing, archery hunting, or fly fishing. He truly enjoys caring for the residents of Havre and the Hi-Line.
