NMHC Celebrates Robotic Surgery Milestones
Havre, MT – The Northern Montana Health Care team recently celebrated a significant milestone in surgical care with a robot-themed celebration, recognizing recent accomplishments in robotic-assisted surgery.
On Tuesday, January 20, NMHC staff gathered to celebrate 300 successful surgeries using the ROSA® Robot and 100 surgeries performed with the da Vinci® Surgical System. The celebration was held in honor of NMHC’s surgeons and operating room teams, whose expertise and collaboration have made advanced robotic-assisted surgery an accessible option for patients across the Hi-Line.
The event embraced a lighthearted “robot party” theme, complete with colorful, playful decorations. Staff enjoyed walking tacos, cupcakes, and a chance to relax, visit, and celebrate together.
“These milestones represent far more than numbers,” said Dr. Kevin Harada, CEO and President of Northern Montana Health Care. “They reflect the dedication, skill, and teamwork of our surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff. Having this level of robotic surgery technology available in Havre is something our entire community can be proud of, and it speaks volumes about the quality of care our teams deliver every day.”
Robotic-assisted surgery allows surgeons to perform complex procedures with enhanced precision, flexibility, and control, often leading to smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times for patients. NMHC currently offers robotic-assisted procedures performed by Dr. Paige Brainard, Dr. M. Benjamin Farr, Dr. Toby Marshall, Dr. Sara Wilcox, and Dr. Damian Ymzon.
