January 8, 2025

NMHC presented its 41st C.A.R.E. Award to Katarina Walker, who works in Billing Support at the Northern Montana Specialty Medical Center Business Office.

Katarina was nominated for this honor by multiple coworkers. She was noted as being a wonderful coworker who excels at time management and is always willing to help others. It was also noted that Katarina is adept at helping patients with their billing concerns so they can focus on their health.

According to one of her coworkers, “Katarina helps younger employees with questions and volunteers to take on projects when needed. She also volunteers at the Soup Kitchen on the weekends!”

Katarina is well-liked by patients, even in a role that can sometimes be difficult to manage, as she deals with patient billing and finances. This role takes a certain warmth and dedication to customer service, and Katarina has those bases covered! Congratulations, Katarina, on receiving the NMHC C.A.R.E. Award!

The “C.A.R.E.” Award began as part of NMHC’s Customer Service Group, “The High Five Club”. C.A.R.E. stands for Compassionately Achieving Remarkable Excellence. The purpose of this bi-monthly recognition is to acknowledge employees who have served at NMHC in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through their work and consistently exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. Employees at NMHC nominate their fellow employees for this award.
